Contactor Switched Capacitor Panels
Description:
In this type of application capacitor duty contactor or power contactor are used to switch ON the capacitors as per the system is achieve power factor.
Automatic power factor correction is typical for large electrical systems with fluctuating load where it is common to connect number of capacitors to main power distribution station or substation. The capacitors are controlled by controller which continuously monitors the relative power demand. The relay connects or disconnects the capacitors to compensate for actual reactive power of the total load and reduce overall demand supply. Contactors are used to switch the capacitors ‘On’ and ‘Off’ in the system.
Thyristor Switched Capacitor Panels
Description:
In this type of system, Thyristor's are used for switching of capacitors.. This is usually used in variable load conditions.

Cylindrical Jelly Filled Capacitors
Description:
Capacitor elements are enclosed in cylindrical aluminium cases and are filed with soft jelly i.e. semi solid vegetable oil, which is non toxic biodegradable and environment friendly. Capacitor elements are wound with metallised polypropylene film with extremely low loss factor.
The dielectric is self healing and the jelly impregnate protects zinc sprayed on the windings from the environment and provides better life & stable capacitors.
The capacitors have over-protection to disconnect it from supply in the event of internal failure.
Cylindrical Gas Filled Capacitors
Description:
The winding of the elements are manufactured in the latest state of art winding machines and specially designed wavy cut film is mainly used. So that zinc layer remains intact with the elements.
These capacitor elements are placed in aluminium can and the capacitor undergoes in vacuum process and environment friendly inert gas is impregnated.
This capacitors have advantage of better cooling and heat dissipation. The impregnated gas used acts as a insulation as wells as it protects the zinc layer from oxidation.

Box Type Capacitors
Description:
This is traditional capacitor design where in capacitor element windings are placed in many individual plastic / aluminium cases in order to make simple design and mitigate switching high inrush currents. In every phase capacitor is divided in many parallel single phase elements.
These individual elements are impregnated with soft jelly/oil then placed in one powder coated CRCA sheet container which is provided with lowers, so that heat can be dissipated properly.
